5th May 2012: A trip to the Lakes

This is a  sketch of The Old Dungeon Ghyll hotel in Langdale, Cumbria. It will feature in an  article featuring my illustrated walk for The Lakeland Walker, the fourth in a series. I stayed at the ODG hotel which is over 300 years old and has an impressive bar featured in the CAMRA good beer guide 2012, highly recommended.

17th April: Latest HEADLINE illustration: The Stamp crisis

From my series of  'Headline illustrations' comes  my latest edition. I have created a Special Edition  stamp mocking the  scandal around the price increase of stamps which caused panic across the country.  Stores had to  demand more stamps from Royal Mail to keep up with the high demand represented in my illustration with a queue  pattern.
Next to come will be  based on the absurd change in weather in England. From drought one week to flood warnings the next.

11th April: Newly illustrated Cityscape, The Phoenix, York

This is my latest illustrated building, The Phoenix in York which has a reputation for its Jazz nights, every Sunday and other nights. The pub is very friendly and serves great ales. Here is a link to their website, www.thephoenixinnyork.co.uk

Latest Editorial illustration: Ethical Consumer Magazine

My latest editorial illustration for The Ethical Consumer magazine is for the special issue on Banks. I had a lot of material for this as you can imagine. I decided to manipulate   the banks logos creating  a destructive scene centering around a chemical plant which is what RBS invest a lot of money into.

Illustrated Walk in this months edition of Lakeland Walker : Jan/Feb 2012

Written and illustrated by myself, this is the second in a series of special articles featured in Lakeland Walker, a walking magazine specialising in The Lake District. This is a double page spread which includes an illustrated colour map of the walk surrounded by sketches made during the walk. The walk started in the small hamlet of Stanger, near Cockermouth, and ended up along the Whinlatter Pass which takes you through a huge forrest.
